House ramen is good.
The shoyu broth tastes just like my favorite place in Japan. We were so happy with our ramen.
very good ramen on the windward side.
Great broth and the noodles were cooked perfectly.
Amazing vegetable ramen!! Actually everything here is outstanding and delicious but that's my fave. So fresh, get a bowl of nourishing ramen or miso today!
really tasty and price is affordable. will definitely come back!
The food was pretty good. The parking is very limited as is the restaurant in seating space. The food is fast and the service was okay. If you’re looking for a nice bowl of ramen it’s a food spot to go.
Am I alive? I was sure that I fired and sent to heaven, that's how good their pork ramen is!
If you like a lip smacking, tasty, high MSG Soup base.. this is the place for you.. lol
Great Ramem!! Simple place
The food is great for anyone that is hungry. Parking is small.. But you get fast service and resonable prices.
Ramen is well made at a fair price
Delicious! My son is hard to please but he said " mom, you gotta give them 5 stars !🤣
Yum! A delicous place to get a bowl of ramen and a few different starters! The portions are a good size, the service is quick, and the food is DELICIOUS! They should definitely be in the top 10 for Kailua restaurants. The place was really busy (almost full the entire time we were there) and parking is limited up front. Generous portion of chicken in the curry, the seafood ramen was loaded with fish, shrimp, scallops, and veggies, and the house ramen was great for indecisive people who want to try a little of everything. We would love to come back for another bowl.
Best ramen in the area. Everything is freshly made and delicious. The slow egg is cooked to perfection, and the broth is exactly what you hope it would be!
It's OK, not bad at all but not too special. The chasiu is fatty but a little tough. Soup is a little salty.
Top 3 Ramen spot. The broth is everything. They could use a remodel to incorporate a bar and some music to break the silence.
Three and a half stars, rounded up. Crowded with people waiting outside for a reason. Parking is limited. I ordered the vegetable ramen, which was very good except that the vegetables arrived perfectly cooked but the broth kept cooking them as I ate. Another diner was pleasantly surprised by the house ramen's salt cabbage and oyster katsu. The rest of my party wasn't as impressed by their dishes. Reasonable prices, for the most part, but very slow service.
This place is amazing. The food is great, the service is great, the prices are great. Had the Spicy Seafood Ramen. That thing is packed with seafood and vegetables, and the heat had me with tears. Best seafood ramen I had so far.
Very very good ramen. Big fan of miso and chicken katsu curry ramen
We had friends staying in the Kailua area & wanted ramen without driving back into town. We took a chance on Rai Rai Ramen & we weren't disappointed. The flavor of the broth was good (not the flavor profile of serious Japanese ramen places, but definitely good), gyoza large and cooked perfectly, noodles a good texture. Service was friendly and speedy. I'll head back there if I'm ever on the windward side craving ramen.
Very good but kind of a long wait for the food.
I'll start with it's some of the more pricier choices for ramen in the area however, it's so worth it. Having come from Okinawa we missed our ramen place. We tried several places on island and we wont go anywhere else! Everything they make is delicious and worth every cent. Dont let the physical appearance fool you this place is the best!
Not crowded at all, fantastic food at a moderate price ($10-14 for a big bowl of ramen), I didn't have to wait long for my order.
The noodle is really good, the hot sauce here is a must–try.
Great Service and BEST RAMEN ON OAHU
Came around 8 on a Sunday and it was almost packed but we didn't have to wait for a table. Ordered the charsui shouyu ramen and kimchi ramen and both were good. Charsui came with 5 slices of pork and noodles were cooked just right, still some bite but not al dente. Food came out fast and waitress came by to fill water and check on how the food was. Total was about $30 after tax.
Best ramen ever
Decent ramen but a bit overpriced. They have a large variety of ramen from chicken katsu curry to miso to kimchi ramen. The chicken katsu was very good, but I would have liked the curry to be a bit thicker and have more flavor. The gyoza was good as well, although it was poorly wrapped and fell apart as I picked them up.
Small little family run business. Service was great. Food was okay.
Really good delicious noodles meat melts in the mouth the soup was also delicious would recommend.
This place is a hidden gem. They are closed on Tuesdays. Try yaki udon here if you like udon. Or seafood crispy fried noodle is very authentic, with pouring vinegar.
Best place to eat Ramen we recommend 100/100 #1 in Hawaii
Ramen and soups were surprisingly flavorful and not over cooked. Pleasantly surprised at the spicy beef ramen dish. And food came out quick.
Small place with SUPER good food! Tried the house ramen and the chicken katsu curry with rice. Both were amazing (even the ramen broth was delicious). Highly recommended!
This place is a quiet little intimate setting. The staff is small but extremely friendly. The food was packed with flavor. I ordered the Shrimp Katsu curry. Large portion for a decent price.
Don’t believe the hype. The recent reviews are accurate. The food was bland at best, service was awful. The best part of the meal was the water. Will not be back and wish we’d have chosen a different spot to eat tonight.
This place is amazing! Super awesome food and excellent service.
If you want fancy, this ain't your place. You want reeeeeeaaaaaallllllyyyy good food? This is it! The shrimp fried rice was just great. Wonderful flavor, and generous with the shrimp. And the portion size! Wow! You could order that as a meal by itself and you would probably have leftovers. The shrimp katsu shoyu ramen was equally delicious, and again, more than enough for a meal with plenty to bring home. Very reasonably priced for the quality and quantity, and the service was friendly and attentive. I'll definitely be back!
Fantastic ramen, fresh ingredients, very good prices, very friendly and helpful staff.
I got a recommendation from a local at Oliver and Oliver to eat here and he was not wrong. I got the spicy beef ramen and it was very good. This was my first experience with ramen, other than the $.39 kind, so I cant compare it but o know I enjoyed it very much!
We are visiting Hawaii and this is where we ate our first night. You won’t be disappointed as long as you order something with meat. They are not friendly and the waitress was very condescending to my friend who was trying to ask what dishes had meat in them. I’m not a vegetarian and didn’t make her talk to me so my food came out and I will say, it was delicious, and that’s the only reason I could give it one star; how the waitress treated our party and especially the ones who asked questions was unbelievable. We won’t be going back.
I had the spicy beef ramen and we shared fried rice and gyoza. All the food was very tasty. Service was very good. Place was very clean. Parking can be a challenge.
Great ramen and great service
Pricey ramen, but fresh & very tasty. Broth is rich & served piping hot. Noodles are firm & just a bit chewy, very good texture; might be housemade. Quick service too. Gyoza are housemade, a definite plus, but watery and come apart easily as a result. This is a 4-star restaurant with 5-star potential.
Told the waitress i was a vegetarian, and wasn't informed that the mapo tofu came with beef in it for whatever reason at this establishment until it was at my table. Upon appologizing and asking for the vegetable ramen dish instead, i was served raw noodles and vegetables in warm water, no seasoning, no nothing. The vegetables had so little flavor, i could taste the wood from the chopsticks rubbing off on them. The same dish (vegetable ramen) is pictured in the images here and it is pretty clearly sitting in broth, not warm water, leading me to believe i was served this way out of spite for returning my dish. Unacceptable, and disgustingly unprofessional.
Still the same, after all these months.
Really good ramen spot. Space is limited and so is parking so plan accordingly. Services is fast and friendly and most importantly the ramen is good and they have a wide variety to choose from. If in the mood to have ramen while visiting the area, they are worth checking out.
Loved this place. “Hole in the wall” kind of place, delicious ramen. Super friendly service.
This is also a good place to Japanese food and there soup is very good
